GameTwist

Doppelkopf is one of the most popular German card games. Created in 1895 as a mix between Schafkopf and Skat, it is intended for 4 players. A deck of 48 cards is used, comprised of 4 suits:
Clubs (♣),Spades (♠), Hearts (♥) und Diamonds (♦).

2 teams of 2 players; the 'Re' team and the 'Kontra' team, compete against each other. Rather than being determined before play, these partnerships are created as the game is underway. It is important to be a good team player in this game.

Each player receives 12 cards at the start of the game. Before commencing play, a 'solo' or 'wedding' game format is called. The 'Re' team aims to reach 121 points, whilst the 'Kontra' team aims to reach 120 points.
