Explosive: Instructions
Explosive is a computer game for two players and it is played as a duel. The aim of the game is to clear the field uncovering as few mines as possible.
The playing field is square and made up of boxes. These boxes are covered at the start of the game and there are mines hidden randomly behind a predetermined number of these boxes.
Possible moves
- Left-click on a box to uncover it.
If there is a mine behind the box, it will explode and points will be deducted. Boxes without mines have numbers indicating how many mines are located around them (in the 8 adjacent boxes). Use the various number combinations to deduce which boxes can safely be uncovered in the next move. If a box with a 0 is uncovered then all adjacent boxes are also automatically uncovered. If further boxes with 0s are uncovered then the same applies.
- Right-click on a box to mark it
A player can mark a box when he/she believes that there is a mine hidden behind it. This marker can be also be removed again.
- Uncovering adjacent boxes
In a single move a player can uncover all unmarked boxes that surround an uncovered box.
End of the game
The game is over when all boxes without a mine haven been uncovered. A player can, however, end the game at any time with his/her current score.
